History

Las Flores was one of the two important asistencias to Mission San Luis Rey de Francia. Las Flores was on the coast between Oceanside and San Clemente, on present day Camp Pendleton Marine Base. Father Peyri founded this asistencia in 1823. Within 35 years, it fell into disrepair and has not been preserved or restored. Only a few melting adobe bricks remain.

I will study this asistencia more and hope to complete this page. I have not yet visited this site but hope to soon. The information gathered here is from other web sites and unedited. I have not yet gathered enough information on this asistencia to finish this page as are the other pages in this site.

Further research is revieling many other asistencia missions. I will pursue this information.
